Privacy

The short version

This is a small static website. It has no accounts, no logins, and no database. It does not sell data, run advertising, fingerprint visitors, or record your session. The only information that reaches Rogue Gain is what you deliberately type into a form or send by email.

Analytics

The site uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-BXRKHT467G) to count visits and see which pages people read. This was already in use on the site and has been kept, not added.

Google Analytics sets cookies and collects standard measurement data: approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, pages visited, referring site, and interactions with the page. Rogue Gain sees this only as aggregate reporting, not as a way to identify you personally.

You can block it with any content blocker, or by using your browser’s “do not track” and cookie controls. Nothing on this site stops working if you do.

Forms

Reader response form (on the Chaos page)

The reader-response form on the Chaos page submits to Formspree, which forwards the message to Rogue Gain by email. Name and location are optional; you can leave both blank and say what you want to say anonymously. What you type is what gets sent. It is not published on the site unless you are asked and you agree.

Contact form and pilot-interest form

These two forms do not send anything to a server. There is no backend collecting them and nothing you type is submitted to or stored by this website. Pressing Compose Email simply opens your own email application with the details written out for you. The message reaches Rogue Gain only when you choose to send it, from your own email account. Each form says this on the page.

If that ever changes, if these forms are wired up to a form-delivery service, this page will be updated to describe what actually happens before the change goes live.

Cookies

Rogue Gain sets no cookies of its own. Cookies on this site come from the third-party services below, principally Google Analytics, and the newsletter and support widgets on the Chaos page.

Third-party services

Some parts of this site load content from other companies. When that happens, your browser contacts them directly, and their own privacy policies apply.

• Google Analytics: measurement, as described above.
• Google Fonts: the typefaces used across the site are requested from Google’s font servers.
• Formspree: delivers the reader-response form to email.
• Kit (formerly ConvertKit): the email-updates signup on the Chaos page is an embedded Kit form. If you subscribe, your email address is held by Kit. You can unsubscribe from any email it sends.
• Ko-fi: the optional support widget on the Chaos page. Rogue Gain never sees your payment details.
• Amazon: “Order on Amazon” links leave this site and go to Amazon, where Amazon’s terms and privacy policy apply.
• GitHub: RogueFetch downloads and release notes are hosted on GitHub.
• Imgur: the social preview image for the Chaos page is served from Imgur.

Software downloads

RogueFetch is downloaded from GitHub, not from this website. It is a desktop application that runs on your own machine. Rogue Gain does not receive telemetry from it and has no visibility into what you do with it. GitHub may count downloads.

What Rogue Gain will not do

• Sell or rent your information.
• Add advertising trackers, fingerprinting, or session replay.
• Publish anything you send privately without asking you first.

Getting in touch about your data

To ask what has been received from you, or to have it deleted, email hello@roguegain.com. It is one person reading, and the request will be honoured.

A note on scope

This policy is written to be accurate and readable rather than exhaustive. It is not a substitute for formal legal review, and it makes no legal guarantees. If Rogue Gain begins operating in a context where a specific regime applies (GDPR, CCPA, or another), this page will be reviewed properly before that happens.
